Here’s what I know about book tours: they are equal parts fun and tiring. I’m coming to the end of my book tour for THE FORBIDDEN ORCHID—just a few more left this month and in June—and I’ve enjoyed every single one. I’ve loved meeting readers, students, and other young adult writers. But now I’m looking forward to a spring and summer on the farm working in our brand new vegetable garden and greenhouse (which is in pieces right now, but will be up and running by July), watching my baby goats grow up, and working on my embroidery. I’m also going to be working on two books at once, which should prove challenging because one is contemporary and the other historical fiction. So we will see how that goes. In the meantime below are a few pics from my tour, in no particular order.
In the coming weeks I’ll be posting some photos and videos that pertain to ORCHID, so keep checking back.
Oh, and just fyi, I’ve been keeping a low-profile on social media because I’ve been so busy this spring, and I don’t see that ending soon, so if you want to get in touch please go to the contact me page and fill out the form. I love to hear from readers and I answer every e-mail so don’t hesitate to write. Also, I’m still offering signed bookplates, so drop me a note if you’d like one.

Directions: Below, you’ll notice that I’ve hidden the clue to my favorite number in my blog post, it’s in red. Collect the favorite numbers of all the authors on the TEAL TEAM, and then add them up (don’t worry, you can use a calculator!). Remember, enter the contest to win a ton of books by me and all of the authors on my team. Add up all the favorite numbers of the authors on the Teal Team and you’ll have the secret code to enter for the grand prize!
Entry Form: Once you’ve added up all the numbers, make sure you fill out the form here to officially qualify for the grand prize. Only entries that have the correct number will qualify.
